What flavor?

While I was growing up in Panama I would buy snowcones or "Raspados" from these vendors who would wander around the city ringing little bells as they approached. I was always excited to hear this. At the time they were $.25, now they're a dollar. Man I hate inflation.

WORKSHOPS

I'll be doing two oil painting workshops in the Bay area the end of August, beginning of September 2019. The first will be at the Mendocino Art Center August 31st and September 1. The second will be at the Healdsburg Arts Center on September 7th and 8th.

Double Basses!

Another in a series of orchestra paintings using a limited palette -  White, Yellow Ochre, Alizarin Crimson, and Ultramarine blue. I really enjoy these orchestra paintings, it's all about value, very little color. I gave myself 90 minutes to do this  - I cheated a little bit, but not much. Pretty happy with it. I painted this with Golden Open acrylics on Masonite.
